Fontina DOP - a classic Italian cheese made with raw milk. Fontina has been made in the Aosta valley in the French-speaking Italian alps since the 12th Century. Rich and creamy, quite pungent with a fruity, grassy flavour .
Fontina is a great cutting cheese as part of a cheese board but it also melts well so is widely used in cooking and in fondue. Try also with our pizzoccheri buckwheat pasta to make a traditional Italian alpine dish.
